Our Children’s Minister, Ben Sprenger

Bro. Ben was born at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma, to Bryan and Camie Sprenger. His parents, being Bible-believing Baptists, raised him and his four siblings under the preaching of the Word of God and taught them to love God and love people. Even though he grew up in a godly home and “prayed a prayer” to be saved as a small child, he struggled for many years with the conviction of the Holy Spirit of God that he had not truly believed on the Lord Jesus Christ for the saving of his soul.

In 2012, Bro. Ben began Bible college at Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. While attending Heartland, he finally realized that what Jesus had done on the cross was sufficient to save his soul. Consequently, Bro. Ben placed his faith in the living Savior Jesus Christ during his freshman year.

In 2014, Bro. Ben became acquainted with New Heights Baptist Church through New Heights’ summer internship program, officially named the Timothy Project. Throughout his time that summer and in the couple years that followed, his heart became more and more knit with the pastor and church family. After some needed personal growth and grounding in the Word of God, Bro. Ben was asked to come on staff at New Heights in the winter of 2015. In February of 2016, he joined the church and became the Children’s Minister. In October of the same year, he married his sweet wife Elizabeth, whom he had met and served with at Bible college. Bro. Ben and Elizabeth are excited about being a part of a strong Bible-believing Baptist church and reaching the northeast area of the Dallas Metroplex with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
